"When the City of Los Angeles demanded that I put fans into the bathrooms of my rental units, I knew I'd need some help-- ok, I'd need lots of help, since I'm about as handy around the house as a sack of hair. So I found Mr Fix here on Yelp and called for an estimate... Yaniv came to the house and checked out everything, emailed me the written estimate, and after checking out two other companies, I decided to go with Mr Fix.

That was the right decision. The work was done quickly and correctly, and when there were some last-minute hiccups synchronizing the Los Angeles Housing Department and the Los Angeles Building Department, Yaniv was on top of everything and made sure everything was resolved perfectly.

Here are my top 3 favorite things about the experience:

1. Yaniv is a nice, smart guy who clearly knows what he's talking about, and he's also not afraid of text messages and email. I hate working with service providers who don't use modern technology!

2. Yaniv's crew was fantastic and QUICK-- I was told the work would take a day and a half but the guys just put in one very long day and got it all done. Definitely a big plus. They also went above and beyond when doing the final touch-up paint in one bathrooom, which was a nice surprise.

3. They did everything from pulling permits to patching the plaster and repainting the walls so it would look flawless. This is HUGE for me-- I am not a handyperson and I always think it's weird when contractors say "oh, we'll do all the work but you'll need to call a plaster guy to close the wall and then paint it yourself." I'm like, wtf? I can't do all that. That's WHY I'm calling someone for help! Yaniv made sure EVERYTHING was handled, so my house was delivered back to me not only with the work completed perfectly but also with all holes patched and painted and looking like new. Exactly what I wanted.

Bottom line, definitely recommend Mr Fix (and Yaniv inparticular) for your home repairs."

"Thank you, Mr. Fix!!!  This summer I bought a 1923 house that needed quite a facelift. The timeframe and budget were tight, and Yaniv and his crew were right on the job and at the right price.  They removed an acoustic "popcorn" ceiling in living and dining rooms, put in recessed and art lights and wall sconces both inside and out, and installed a set of French doors.  The work was done quickly and with an eye to detail.  I noticed in particular that they matched the French door frame so that it utterly mirrors the front door frame opposite it.  Additionally, Mr. Fix will do smaller projects as well.  One time, I needed a yucky wall-to-wall carpet removed in my other house, and they were on it immediately. "Our family needed to remove a chimney on the verge of collapse. It goes right through the house which makes it potentially more complicated. Many of the contractors we interviewed quoted us $7,000 to $8,000, and advocated unconventional forms of demolition that would require a lot of cosmetic repair work.
